\"FS0107<\/a> We installed a PlayPump at Ntsoanatsatsi Educare Trust in the Free State. They originally started to help uneducated adults to learn to grow vegetables and start their own sustainable vegetable gardens, but now they also look after about 300 children and 15 educators. They needed water for the children to drink, so they can cook them meals, washing of hands, cleaning classrooms and the growing of the vegetables.<\/p>\n

The cooks were delighted to see the easily available water and Ruth Butcher from Mamas Alliance said “The children cannot get enough of the merry-go-round”.<\/p>\n

\"NW0248<\/a>A PlayPump, thanks to a generous donation from EFL Freight, was installed at Khubamelo Primary School, a medium sized school in the North West Province.\u00a0 The school had been without a reliable source of water and they were having to purchase water, which they could not afford.<\/p>\n

While waiting for the soil crete to dry the children were lining up to have a spin.<\/p>\n

\"KZN0330<\/a> The third PlayPump was installed at Shalom Primary in KwaZulu-Natal.<\/p>\n

It is a small school with no taps and pit toilets. They were fetching water from the local dam or using rain water.<\/p>\n

They had just started a small vegetable garden, so the PlayPump, which is right next to the vegetable garden means that they no longer have to walk to the dam to collect water to water it.<\/p>\n

These three PlayPumps are at schools where there is no reliable source of water.\u00a0 There are many other schools in the same position.\u00a0 We ask for assistance to install more and give the children much needed reliable water to keep them healthy and hydrated.<\/p>\n
